    Architecture and Interior Design

I do many fashion retouches, but can't post most of them here. I spend a lot of time as well with Interior Design Greats. I constantly fix images that appear in Architectural Digest, the Times, Elle, you name it. And you would be surprised at my emails...." Can you take out those cords, and the light switches?"  "Can you even the fringe on that carpet?"  "Can you remove the pets and children from the sunroom shot?" .....hee.You'd also be surprised at how much there is to save, adjust, correct. Somtimes the details are not even evident on the final proof...!

    Something from nothing ...well, almost...

The finished bridge on right was built from the snap on left, as I love to do. Much of the content on my site and other projects is built from disparate elements, bad snaps, scans, and who-knows-what. Though I do retouches of hi-re, clean work by great Photographers, I love to continually challenge myself to improve my skills..I'd like to think there is nothing I can't save....

    Tough Saves

That's my job, frequently !  Tough saves- The Salon needed this for a page in Vogue. I had to start with this super low-res image...the floorboards are different colours in the Salon, so I made notes and faked the colour of each. Then, after doing all I could to bring out patterns etc- The glass panels on either side of the entry were filled with antique seeded glass- none of the information was left in the jpeg I was given, but I faked that in as well with some grain. I love my work.....

    NYC HAS GREAT RESTAURANTS . . .

Just before the opening of Coppelia Restaurant, by the world-renowned, award-winning Chef Julian Medina, I needed to fix a few shots of the site. This shot, in front, had many tiny details to remove, from patrons in booths to stray napkins. Afterfixing the lens distortion and retouching, I adjusted the colours to bring out the fantastic place that is Coppelia. It has not been empty since !

Chef Medina has been called the Best Mexican Chef in New York by many fine publications...click here for more!
